I was with Askari for eight weeks. While participating in all the programmes activities, I was also able (and helped) to collect samples for my MSc thesis. Overall the time with Askari was the best time of my life. I enjoyed every single moment of it. From the encounters with all the majestic animals in the reserve, to digging the waterholes, controlling alien plants, bush walking and the braais! The team is unbelievably talented and caring, sharing their knowledge with us at all times and helping us whenever it was needed. Thank you Wellex, Lindiwe and Thandi for making sure we are comfortable at the Askari house and thank you to Katie, Bronwyn and Stuart for making us feel at home and enjoy this experience.
