After my studies I wanted to do something that makes sense to me, working for or with animals was really my desire. I found Askari and it fulfilled both my desire and my dream to go to Africa, this very special land that called me. It was my first time volunteering, I discovered so many things here that it would take me hours and days to talk about it. This experience made me meet such beautiful people, such passionate and admirable staff members and roommates of the world. I could never forget this particular moment in my life. It became normal to see these extraordinary animals in freedom and around the house. Like the giraffe at sunset eating peacefully right next to the fence. To be in a place that is very respectful of the natural environment and animals has been incredible!
