As an older person I was a little hesitant as I embarked on my Askari experience. I need not have worried as I managed everything perfectly and was made to feel part of a young team at all times. The experience is intense and exhilarating at the same time. Katie and Robbie are extremely efficient and organised. I left Askari feeling like I’d gained a lifetime of knowledge in only 2 weeks. This is despite the fact that I am South African and have been to many game reserves around South Africa. Katie & Rob, I have so much respect for what you do and thank you so much for putting up with my “old lady” stuff. I loved swimming in the stunning pool and the walks I did in the nyala enclosure. My friend asked me if I had anything negative to say about my trip and my answer was “No”. I hope to be back sometime soon.
