If there is a small quote which describes my stay in Askari that would be “Volunesia – The moment you forget you’re volunteering to help change lives, because it’s changing yours”. During my stay in Askari I learned a lot of things. Not only about the bush but about people. Askari gave me the opportunity to appreciate the values of respect, hard work and friendship. Specially working for the animals reminds you how small you are and that you have to stay humble. Spending a month in Askari gives you more as a person than the work you can give to the reserve. Working hard is always paid with awesome sightings and great sunsets. If anyone has the opportunity to volunteer in Askari I would totally recommend it. I really look forward to volunteer again.
