A well-structured programme that focuses on conservation of the reserve. The balance is very good between physical activities and game drives and the staff are extremely informative in all forms of the reserve, from vegetation management, animal management, bird identification, politics of running a reserve, to animal behaviour. I particularly liked when at the drop of a hat that the programme activity was put on hold in favour of an important sighting of an animal. It was all very exciting that in 5-10 minutes you’ll be seeing a lion or cheetah and maybe with a recent kill. The positive feedback for Askari on abroadreviews.com and Trip advisor speaks for itself. There are many inferior projects out there but this is genuine and I personally learnt a lot and hope it will be the stepping stone to a new career within conservation. Don’t hesitate to apply, you’ll make a great decision and come away with very good memories.
