Pidwa

Pidwa Wilderness Reserve offers a diverse selection of game and bird species, breathtaking views and a myriad of flora species. Located west of South Africa's famous Kruger National Park, the reserve forms part of a 24 700 ha conservancy bordered by the Selati River in the north and the famous Greater Makalali Conservancy in the south.

We believe that the beauty and “untouched” quality of Pidwa should not be encroached upon. Pidwa has so many advantages. The mere fact that Pidwa has a wilderness section is wondrous. Wilderness is a term which has become bastardized and is often thrown around in the industry for the African effect.

At Pidwa, wilderness is not merely a marketing tool, for us it is a way of life.

"How much wilderness do the wilderness-lovers want?”
Ask those who would mine and dig and cut and dam in such sanctuary spots as these. The answer is easy: enough so that there will be in the years ahead a little relief, a little quiet, a little relaxation, for any of our increasing millions who need and want it". (Wallace Stegne)
